Please check with the airline regarding the specific regulations for baggage. We, at Eitan Tours, suggest that each participant take only 1 piece of checked luggage and one carry on for his/her safety and convenience. Yes. ATMs and most businesses will take standard credit and debit cards. You should, of course, check with your bank before you travel regarding extra fees, etc.
The Shabbat atmosphere will be kept with festive Shabbat meals on Friday night and Saturday lunch. No touring is done on Friday nights or Saturdays, but Shabbat programs and walking tours in the area of the hotels may be held.Out of respect for the Sabbath, most businesses in Israel are closed from Friday afternoon until Saturday night. During your free time on Shabbat, you will be able to tour as/if you wish.
You should ideally bring clothes that are comfortable for traveling, walking touring, etc. Check the weather forecast for Israel before you come in order to bring attire suitable to the season: www.weather-it-is-israel.com. When on tour, you may be entering religious sites with particular demands regarding dress. Your guide will inform you the evening before if there is a need to dress more modestly. For men pants and T-shirts are fine. For women, shirts that cover the shoulder (some travel with a shawl to throw over their shoulders at the proper time) and pants/dresses that reach past the knee are best.
